Leyton sits right next to our base in Leytonstone, and we carry out work across E10 for homeowners, landlords and buyers renovating before they move in.
Many of the jobs we see here are full refurbishments of older houses and flats, so we are used to dealing with what turns up once the old finishes come off: tired wiring, damp, uneven floors and walls that need more than a skim.

Leyton is largely made up of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, with a mix of converted flats and some Warner homes. Many properties have been let for years and are ready for a full refresh, from new kitchens and bathrooms to replastering and new flooring throughout.
For larger houses, a rear or side return extension and a loft conversion together can transform the layout and add significant value.
Planning in Leyton
Leyton is in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. It includes the Leyton Town Centre conservation area, and the Bakers Arms conservation area sits on the boundary with Walthamstow. Works that change the outside of a property in these areas are more likely to need planning permission.
If your property is a flat, most external works, including extensions and loft conversions, will need planning permission. We will advise on this when we visit.
